OBE Leadership Conference attendees are expected to take personal responsibility in observing the below COVID-19 testing requirements and protocols before and during the conference. Thank you for your partnership in keeping everyone safe and healthy.
Testing Requirements
- Proof of a negative COVID-19 viral test (PCR) is required for all attendees. This test should be taken within 96 hours of arrival to the conference.
- Attendees are responsible for identifying the testing location and managing the reimbursement process for the test if there is a cost.
- Attendees must present proof of a negative COVID-19 viral test (PCR) when they check-in for the conference.
- If an attendee recently recovered from COVID-19, they do not have to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 viral test (PCR), but may attend the conference with the documentation outlined below:
- If an attendee tested positive for COVID-19 between November 22 and February 5 then documentation of a positive COVID-19 viral test result must be provided.
- If an attendee tested positive for COVID-19 between February 6 and February 10 and has fully recovered, then they may attend the conference with documentation of a positive COVID-19 viral test result and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider they are cleared to attend the conference.
- Rapid antigen testing will be required upon arrival to the hotel. Testing kits will be provided at the conference registration desk and should be conducted when the attendee arrives in their room.
- Attendees who provide the documentation outlined in 2A or 2B are not required to conduct a rapid antigen test.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take a rapid antigen test in lieu of a PCR test prior to the conference?
No, we require negative results from a PCR test for you to attend the conference.
What if I do not have the results back from my PCR test by the time I arrive at the conference?
You will be asked to take a rapid antigen test once you arrive to confirm it is negative. You will not be allowed to attend any conference activities until the results of your PCR test are received.
Can I still attend the conference if I recently had COVID?
If you had COVID and fully recovered before February 10, you may attend the conference with documentation described in 3A and 3B of the Testing Requirements section above.
What if I test positive with the rapid antigen test provided at the hotel?
If you test positive, text Johnnie Bassham at 214-551-3381 and quarantine in your hotel room. You will be offered the opportunity to test again and we will assess the situation.
What if I start having COVID symptoms during the conference?
We will provide a rapid antigen test for you to administer in your hotel room. If you test positive, text Johnnie Bassham at 214-551-3381 and quarantine in your hotel room. You will be offered the opportunity to test again and we will assess the situation.
I live outside of the US and will need to take a PCR test before boarding my plane back home. Where can I do this?
We will have PCR testing available on-site for attendees who need results for travel. Please contact Johnnie Basham (jbassham@obe.com) to confirm we have you on our list for testing.
